Last night, I was on the field for the rematch between #4 Jefferson High and #5 George Washington High, a game that carried all the weight of their first matchup—and then some.
Their previous meeting ended in a dramatic 34–33 Jefferson victory, marking Jefferson’s first win of the year after an 0–4 start. That loss was also George Washington’s first of the season. Since then, Jefferson hasn’t looked back. They’ve been rolling, and last night they showed exactly why.
